We are pleased to announce the release 0.9.4 of DGtal and its associated projects, DGtalTools and DGtalTools-contrib (http://dgtal.org). It has been awhile between the previous release and this one but many new features have been added beside a huge set of enhancements and bugfixes (see full Changelogs below):

  • Mesh voxlizer using 6- or 26-separability
  • VoxelComplex: an extension for CubicalComplex, implementing the Critical-Kernels framework, based on the work of M.Couprie and G.Bertrand on isthmus
  • Adding the half-edge data structure to represent arbitrary two-dimensional combinatorial surfaces with or without boundary and helpers to create meshes from digital surfaces
  • Laplace-Beltrami operators on digital surfaces (Best Student Paper DGCI2018)
